Il faut le rappeler, mais les Saint-Joséphois s’en souviennent, Florence Arginthe avait été élue Miss Saint-Joseph 2009 avant de devenir Miss Réunion. Une élection organisée par la Ville de Saint-Joseph et Kryslo, comme chaque année dans le cadre de la Fête du Safran, à la Plaine des Grègues et à laquelle ne pouvait pas participer Florence qui était déjà en métropole pour Miss France.

C’est donc Emmanuelle Gorlin, 1ère dauphine de Miss Réunion, qui a honoré de sa présence l’élection 2010 avec 10 candidates sur la ligne de départ. Après plusieurs passages, le jury, présidé par Aziz Patel du Comité Miss Réunion, a choisi Marie K/Bidy, couronnée Miss Saint-Joseph 2010, devant Laurence Lebreton et Audrey Mussard. Une belle soirée qui a réuni beaucoup de monde, et à laquelle a participé Patrick Lebreton, le député-maire de Saint-Joseph
